In 1986 God created the Vizcaino Ministry by placing on the hearts of American Christians the need for a church building. Construction of the church began and later a clinic was constructed in the middle of Rancho Piloto, a private farm owned by a Mexican National. For 17 years this ministry served the poor migrant farm workers, most of which were indigenous people from the State of Oaxaca, introducing them to the Gospel. Hundreds accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior in the little church at Rancho Piloto. In the fall of 2002, the owner of Rancho Piloto, an avowed atheist, became annoyed with the ministry and on September 1, 2003 ordered Pastor Bruno Rendon Lopez to move off his property. PPC had purchased land in Vizcaino, the nearby community, and Pastor Bruno and his flock reconstructed the church using materials salvaged from the buildings in the church compound at Rancho Piloto. They renamed the church "Puerta del Cielo" meaning gate of heaven.
Ana Karen, - Reyna - Roy Ketring III - Bruno - Cristina Bruno, his wife Reyna, and daughters Anna Karen and Cristiana, are a family united in their ministry, ever so faithful to our Lord, through the preaching of the gospel, the baptizing and nourishing new converts to Christianity and the toughest of all is standing firm opposing evil. They are an oasis in the Vizcaino desert where the lost can come and drink of Christ's love for them. It is such a joy to have witnessed the transformation of some of the, so very poor, migrant workers when they accept Jesus into their hearts and then see the glow that radiates from their faces. They are no longer down trodden by their situation or the hard work that they do. On the contrary they exude the Joy and Love of our Lord and it's contagious. That is why this ministry is so important. PPC is the only supporter of this ministry. A very loving PPC family donated funds which permits construction on a home for this family. We have just recently mounted windows and doors on the home!
