The PPC Soup Kitchen came about through the vision of a member of the church, John Balent, who saw the need to join with other churches and agencies in providing food for the hungry of our community in the name of Jesus Christ. After researching what meals other groups were providing, it was determined that a weekly meal, on Thursday evenings, was needed.
The Soup Kitchen offers a free meal every Thursday evening at 6:00 in the Key Center on the church campus. A special Thanksgiving dinner is served annually. Not only are PPC members actively involved in the preparation of meals, serving and cleaning up, but people from other churches and organizations throughout the community participate in this ministry of compassion.
